Understanding CDN Statistics

Statistics

Overview

The Statistics section provides information about your website traffic and usage. It helps you understand how visitors are accessing your website and how much bandwidth is being used.

Total Bandwidth

Bandwidth shows the amount of data transferred between your website and visitors.

The chart includes:

  • Total Bandwidth – All data transferred.
  • Cached Bandwidth – Data served from the CDN cache.
  • Uncached Bandwidth – Data served directly from your hosting account.

Higher cached bandwidth usually means better website performance.

Total Hits

A hit is recorded each time a file is requested from your website.

The chart includes:

  • Total Hits – All requests.
  • Cached Hits – Requests served from cache.
  • Uncached Hits – Requests served directly from your server.

Bandwidth vs Hits

This chart compares:

  • The amount of data transferred (Bandwidth)
  • The number of requests received (Hits)

It helps you understand how your website is being used over time.

SSL Hits vs Non-SSL Hits

This section shows how many visitors are accessing your website securely.

  • SSL Hits – Visits using HTTPS.
  • Non-SSL Hits – Visits using HTTP.

For most websites, the majority of traffic should use HTTPS.

HTTP Successful Requests vs Error Requests

This chart shows whether requests to your website are completing successfully.

  • HTTP Successful Requests – Requests that completed successfully.
  • HTTP Error Requests – Requests that returned an error, such as a missing page or server issue.

A small number of errors is normal, but a large number may indicate a problem that should be investigated.
