Change Domain Contact Details

Overview#

The Change Domain Contact page allows you to update the contact information associated with your domain registration.

This information is used by the domain registry and registrar to identify the domain owner and contact them regarding domain-related matters.

How to Access Domain Contact Settings#

1. Log in to your hosting control panel.
2. Click Manage Domains.
3. Select your domain name.
4. Click Change Domain Contact.

You will see the current contact information for the domain.

Important Information for .UK Domains#

For .UK domains, you can update contact information from this page.

However, you cannot transfer ownership of a .UK domain from here.

If you need to change the legal owner of the domain, you must do so through Nominet’s online services.

Use a StackCP User

If the contact details already exist on a StackCP account, you can select that user instead of manually entering all information again.

Contact Information Fields

Full Name#

Enter the name of the domain contact.

Example:

Viktor Beall

Country#

Select the country where the domain owner or organisation is located.

Example:

United States of America

Registrant’s Legal Type#

Select the legal type that best describes the domain owner.

Example:

UK Entity that does not fit into any of the above

This field is required for certain domain extensions, including .UK domains.

Email Address#

Enter the primary contact email address for the domain.

Example:

vkbeall@gmail.com

This email may be used for domain-related notifications and renewal reminders.

Telephone Number#

Enter a valid contact telephone number.

Example:

307286398

Make sure the number is entered in the correct format for the selected country.

If you see a warning such as:

Please enter a valid telephone number.

review the number format and update it accordingly.

Registrant#

This field contains the company, organisation, or individual registered as the domain holder.

Example:

B3Ware LLC

Address Information#

Enter the registered address associated with the domain owner.

Address Line 1#

Example:

30 N. Gould St

Address Line 2#

Example:

Ste #2478

Address Line 3#

Optional field if additional address information is required.

City#

Example:

Sheridan

County / State / Province#

Example:

Wyoming

ZIP / Postal Code#

Save Your Changes

After updating the contact details:

1. Review all information carefully.
2. Ensure the email address and telephone number are correct.
3. Click Save or Update Contact Details.

The registry information will then be updated.

Important Notes#

• Contact details should always be kept accurate and up to date.
• Incorrect contact information may cause issues with domain verification or renewal notices.
• Changes may take some time to appear in public WHOIS records.
