Creating Autoresponders

Email Autoresponders

Overview

Email Autoresponders automatically send a reply whenever someone emails a specific address.

They are commonly used for:

  • Out of office messages
  • Holiday notices
  • Support acknowledgements
  • Contact form confirmations
  • Temporary business closures

For example, if someone emails:

info@autoscale.uk

they can automatically receive a message such as:

Thank you for contacting us. We have received your email and will respond as soon as possible.

Step 5: Optional Forward To Address

The Forward To field allows incoming emails to be forwarded to another address.

Example:

sales@your-domain.com

When someone emails the autoresponder address:

  1. They receive the automatic reply.
  2. The original email can also be forwarded to another mailbox.

This field is optional.

Step 6: Set a Start Date (Optional)

Use Start From if you want the autoresponder to begin at a specific date and time.

Example:

01/08/2026 09:00

This is useful for:

  • Upcoming holidays
  • Planned absences
  • Scheduled events

Step 7: Set an End Date (Optional)

Use Finish On if you want the autoresponder to stop automatically.

Example:

10/08/2026 17:00

After this date, the autoresponder will be disabled automatically.

This is useful for:

  • Vacation messages
  • Temporary support notices
  • Business closure announcements

Example: Out of Office Autoresponder

Email Address

info@autoscale.uk

Subject

Out of Office

Message

Thank you for your email.

Our team is currently out of the office and will return on Monday.

We will respond as soon as possible after our return.

Kind regards,
Autoscale Support

Important Notes

  • New autoresponders can take up to 30 minutes to become active.
  • Each sender will only receive one automatic response every 8 hours.
  • This prevents the same person from receiving repeated replies if they send multiple emails.

Once created, your autoresponders will appear in the management section at the bottom of the page.

From there you can:
