Configuring Remote MySQL Access
Remote MySQL Access
Overview
For security reasons, remote MySQL access is disabled by default. If you need to connect to your database from an external application, server, or development environment, you can allow access for specific IP addresses.
Please note that changes can take up to 30 minutes to become active.

Add a Remote Access Host
To allow an external connection to your database:
- Log in to your hosting control panel.
- Select your hosting package.
- Open Remote MySQL.
- Select the Database User you want to grant access to.
- Enter the external IP Address that will connect to the database.
- Click Add Access Host.
The IP address will be added to the allowed access list.

Database User
Select the database user that should be allowed to connect remotely.
Only the selected database user will be able to connect from the specified IP address.
IP Address
Enter the public IP address of the device or server that needs database access.
Example:
39.60.79.147
For security, only add trusted IP addresses.
Manage Access Hosts
All approved remote access hosts will appear in the Manage Access Hosts section.
From here, you can:
- View allowed IP addresses
- Remove access when no longer needed
- Review existing database access permissions
