Sitemap Generator

Overview#

A sitemap helps search engines discover and index the pages on your website. The Sitemap Generator automatically crawls your website and creates an XML sitemap containing all accessible pages.

The crawler follows any rules set in your website’s robots.txt file.

Generate a Sitemap#

To create a new sitemap:

1. Log in to your hosting control panel.
2. Select the hosting package you want to manage.
3. Open Sitemap Generator.
4. Choose your preferred Change Frequency.
5. Select whether to upload the sitemap directly to your webspace.
6. Click Generate New Sitemap.

The system will crawl your website and create a sitemap.

Upload sitemap.xml to Your Website#

You can choose to automatically upload the generated sitemap to your webspace.

When enabled:

• A sitemap.xml file is created.
• Any existing sitemap.xml file will be overwritten.
• Search engines can easily find your sitemap.

Change Frequency#

The Change Frequency setting tells search engines how often your pages are expected to change.

Common options include:

• Daily
• Weekly
• Monthly

Please note that this setting is only a guideline for search engines and does not guarantee how often your website will be crawled.

Important Notes#

• Sitemap generation may take several minutes depending on the size of your website.
• The Sitemap Generator supports up to 50,000 URLs.
• If your website contains more than 50,000 URLs, you will need to use an alternative sitemap generation method.
• Sitemaps are not updated automatically. You should generate a new sitemap whenever significant content changes are made to your website.

When Should I Regenerate My Sitemap?#

It is recommended to create a new sitemap after:

• Adding new pages
• Removing pages
• Changing website structure
• Publishing large amounts of new content

This helps search engines discover your latest content more quickly.
